The latest models in Samsung’s line of clever foldable phones are officially here. Announced at the Samsung Unpacked event, the Galaxy Z Fold 4, along with its smaller foldable sibling, the Z Flip 4, officially hit shelves in August, and right now you can find them available at most major retailers and carriers. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is the successor to 2021’s popular Galaxy Z Fold 3, and is a continuation of Samsung’s tablet-meets-phone hybrid approach with some nice improvements.
The new Z Fold 4 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor and backed by 12GB of RAM, plus the book-style foldable has been redesigned with a slimmer, more durable hinge and lighter overall weight. There’s a 6.2-inch outer AMOLED display and a 7.6-inch inner AMOLED display, both of which offer a 120Hz refresh rate. One huge upgrade comes in the camera department, with an array that now includes a 50-megapixel main camera, 12-megapixel ultrawide camera and 10-megapixel telephoto camera.

Samsung is offering up to $1,00 off your Galaxy Z Fold 4 when you trade-in an eligible device, and guaranteeing at least $300 for any Galaxy device in any condition. If you don’t have a device to trade in, Samsung is still offering $100 off all models, and an extra $300 off the 512GB and 1TB models so you can get a storage upgrade for free.
For those wanting to buy the Galaxy Z Fold 4 outright, Amazon is offering some of the best no-strings-attached discounts available right now. You can save up $300 on the black color variant of the 128GB model, dropping the price down to $1,500. Or, for just $70 more, you can get double the storage with all colors of the 512GB model on sale for $1,570, which is $350 off the usual price.
Trade in your old phone to ATT and get up to $800 off your Galaxy Z Fold 4. Devices that are eligible for the full discount include older models like the Galaxy S9 or iPhone 8 so be sure to check your trade-in value even if you think your existing phone might not be worth that much. The credit takes place over a 36-month period, and if you cancel service before the 36 months is over you’ll have to pay the remaining balance. Also be aware that credits begin within three bills and require that you pay all taxes and associated fees on the retail price up front. Samsung accessories are 50% off when bought alongside this device, too.
New customers can get as much as $1,000 off the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 with trade-in on select Unlimited plans (or $800 for existing customers). Old and damaged phones are accepted, too. New customers will also get a free $200 Verizon gift card when switching their existing number over from another carrier. Plus, Verizon is offering $120 off the 512GB model, so you can get double the storage at no extra cost. Verizon is also offering deals on select smartwatches when you bundle them with your Z Fold 4, though you’ll need a data plan for that device as well.
T-Mobile is offering new subscribers the chance to snag the Galaxy Z Fold 4 from as little as $1,000 with up to $800 in bill credits on a qualifying Magenta Max plan. The credits will be applied over 24 or 36 months. Existing customers can get as much as $400 off when trading in an old device, and new customers can also save $400 when adding a new line of service on an eligible plan.
Best Buy is offering deals on both unlocked and carrier models of the new Z Fold 4. If you want an unlocked model, you can save $350 on both the 512GB and 1TB models. Best Buy says you have to select same-day activation to get the discount (essentially defeating the purpose of an unlocked phone), but the same price is available when you select the activate later option. Best Buy also has its own trade-in program where you can save up to $900 on an unlocked model, but you’ll have to go to a store in-person to take advantage of this offer.
You can also save $400 if you’re a Verizon customer, or $300 if you’re a T-Mobile or Sprint customer when you purchase the 512GB model on an installment plan. This deal also includes a free $100 Best Buy gift card with your purchase.
